SSPE Water Supply Pipe

The SSPE water supply pipe is a steel-plastic composite water supply pipe with high-strength steel wire mesh as the reinforced skeleton and HDPE polyethylene inside and outside. It is specially designed for high-pressure water supply scenarios such as municipal water supply, building water supply, mine water supply, long-distance water transportation, and fire water supply. It takes into account the pressure resistance of steel pipes and the anti-corrosion and hygiene advantages of plastic pipes.

The pipe has high pressure resistance, creep resistance, and good rigidity, which is much better than pure PE pipe. It can withstand 1.6-12.0MPa high pressure, and will not deform or sag for long-term operation. The inner wall is smooth and does not scale, with low water resistance, large flow, energy saving and consumption reduction. The inner and outer PE layers are corrosion-resistant, rust-free, hygienic and non-toxic, and meet the drinking water transportation standards. The service life can reach 50 years.

Adopting electrofusion connection, the interface strength is higher than the pipe body, zero leakage, tensile resistance, seismic resistance and settlement resistance; the weight is only 1/4 of the steel pipe, the installation is fast, no need for anti-corrosion, and the comprehensive cost is lower. Widely used in municipal tap water, community water supply, industrial and mining enterprise water supply, long-distance water diversion, fire water supply, mine high-pressure water supply and other systems, it is the preferred pipeline for high-pressure water supply.

  • High strength, high pressure bearing, outstanding bearing capacity

    The high-strength steel wire mesh frame is reinforced, the pressure-bearing grade can reach PN1.0–PN10.0MPa, the ring stiffness is high, and the ability to withstand external pressure is strong;

  • Corrosion-resistant, anti-aging, long service life

    The inner and outer layers are made of HDPE material, which is resistant to soil acid and alkali, groundwater corrosion, and microbial erosion. It does not rust or scale, and has a designed service life of ≥50 years;

  • Excellent toughness, anti-settlement, adaptable to complex geology

    The composite structure has both steel wire strength and PE flexibility, with an elongation at break of ≥350%, and can adapt to uneven settlement of the foundation and mild geological displacement;

  • The inner wall is smooth and low-friction, and the water delivery is energy-saving and efficient.

    The inner wall PE layer roughness is ≤0.007mm, the water flow resistance is small, the water head loss is low, and the water transportation energy consumption is more than 20% lower than that of steel pipes;

  • Electric hot melt connection, reliable sealing and zero leakage

    Special electric hot melt pipe fittings are connected to realize integrated welding of pipes and pipe fittings. The interface has high strength, water hammer resistance and leakage resistance;

  • Hygiene and safety, ensuring drinking water delivery

    The inner and outer layers are made of food-grade HDPE raw materials, with no heavy metal precipitation, non-toxic and pollution-free, and suitable for municipal drinking water systems;

  • Lightweight and easy to construct, lower laying cost

    Compared with steel pipes, it is more than 40% lighter in weight, easier to transport, and can be constructed using trenchless directional drilling to shorten the construction period;

  • Excellent water hammer resistance, stable and safe operation

    Good buffering and energy-absorbing properties, effectively weakening water hammer impact and reducing the risk of pipe bursting in the pipeline network;

  • Wide temperature range and strong environmental adaptability

    The long-term use temperature is ‑20℃~60℃, and it can adapt to various climate environments such as low temperature in the north and high temperature in the south.
